前言.
這是永生耶穌所說的秘訓，由狄第摩．猶大．多馬紀錄下來。
These are the secret sayings which the living Jesus spoke and Didymos Judas Thomas wrote down.
1.
他說：「凡是發現這些話語解答的人，將不會經歷死亡。」
And He said, “Whoever finds the interpretation of these sayings will not experience death.”
2.
耶穌說：「讓那尋找的人繼續尋找，直到他找到。當他找到時，他將會覺得無措。當他無措時，他將會震驚。然後他將統治一切。
Jesus said, “Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All.”
3.
耶穌說：「如果引導你們的人說：『看啦，天國在天上。』那麼天上的鳥將超越你們。如果他們跟你們說：『它在海裡。』那麼魚將超越你們。其實，天國內在於你們，它也外在於你們。當你們知道自己的時候，你們將成為知者，而且你們將體認你們就是活生父神的兒子。但是如果你們不知道自己，你們即在貧窮之中，而且你們就是貧窮。」
Jesus says, “If those who lead you say , ‘See, the kingdom is in the sky.’ then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the 
living Father. But if you do not come to know yourselves, you dwell in poverty, and it is you who are that poverty.

耶穌說：「日子老去的人，毫不疑豫地去詢問七日幼兒生命所在之處，那麼他將存活。因為許多在前頭的人會成為末尾，他們會同歸一類，沒有差別。」
Jesus said, “The man old in days will not hesitate to ask a small child seven days old about the place of life, and he will live. For many who are first will become last, and they will become one and the same.”

耶穌說：「認識你眼前所看到的，那麼，那個對你隱藏的，將會對你變得清晰起來。因為，沒有任何被隱藏的不會展現出來。」
Jesus said, “Recognize what is in your sight, and that which is hidden from you will become plain to you. For there is nothing hidden which will not become manifest.”

他的門徒問他，他們跟他說：「您要我們禁食嗎？我們應該怎麼祈禱？我們該施捨行善嗎？在飲食上我們該遵守什麼？」
耶穌說：「不要說謊，而且不要做你所恨惡的事，因為在天國看來，一切都是清楚明白的。因為沒有任何隱藏起來的不會被展現出來，而且，沒有任何被掩蓋的，仍然可以不被揭露。」
His disciples questioned Him and they said to Him, “Do you want us to fast? How shall we pray? Shall we give alms? What diet shall we observe?”
Jesus said, “Do not tell lies, and do not do what you hate, for all things are plain in the sight of Heaven. For nothing hidden will not become manifest, and nothing covered that will remain without being uncovered.”

耶穌說：「受祝福的是人消耗掉的獅子，這使那獅子成為人；而受咒詛的是獅子消耗掉的人，而那獅子仍會成為人。」
Jesus said，“Blessed is the lion which becomes man when consumed by man; and cursed is the man whom the lion consumes, and the lion still becomes man.

他還說：「天國就像一個智慧的漁夫，把他的漁網拋進海裡，從海中撈起滿網的小魚。在這些小魚之中，那個智慧的漁夫發現一條又好又大的魚。他把小魚拋回海裡，毫無困難地選擇了那條大魚。凡是有耳朵能聽的人，就讓他聽著。」
And He said, “The Kingdom is like a wise fisherman who cast his net into the sea and drew it up from the sea full of small fish. Among them the wise fisherman found a fine large fish. He threw all the small fish back into the sea and chose the large fish without difficulty. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.”

耶穌說：「有這麼一個播種的人走了出去，拿了一把(種子)，播撒它們。有些落在路上，鳥來了，把它們叨走。有些落在岩石上，沒有扎根在土裡，也沒有長出芽葉。又有些落在荊棘上，荊棘擠住了種子，蟲子吃掉它們。還有些落在沃土上，長出好果子，收成了六十倍和一百二十倍。」
Jesus said, “Now the sower went out, took a handful (of seeds), and scattered them. Some fell on the road; the birds came and gathered them up. Others fell on rock, did not take root in the soil, and did not produce ears. And others fell on thorns; they choked the seed(s) and worms ate them. And others fell on good soil and produced good fruit; it bore sixty per measure and a hundred and twenty per measure.”

耶穌說：「我已經把火投到世界，看啦，我正在守著它，直到它燃燒起來。」
Jesus said, “I have cast fire upon the world, and see, I am guarding it until it blazes.”
11.
耶穌說：「這個天堂將會過去，天堂之上的那個也將過去。死的不會活著，活的不會死。在那些日子裡，當你把現在己經死的吃掉，你把它變活了。當你們處於光中，你們將做什麼？當你們曾經是一的那天，你們成為二。而當你們成為二的時候，你們將做什麼？」
Jesus said, “This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will pass away. The dead will not alive, and the living will not die. In the days when you consumed what is dead, you made it what is alive. When you come to dwell in the light, what will you do? On the day that you were one, you became two. But when you become two, what will you do?”
12.
門徒對耶穌說：「我們知道您將離開我們。在我們中間誰將成為我們的領袖呢 ？」
耶穌對他們說：「無論你們在那裡，你們都要歸向公義雅各，由於他的緣故，天堂和大地才存在。」
The disciples said to Jesus, “We know that You will depart from us. Who is to be our leader?”
Jesus said to them, “Wherever you are, you are to go to James the righteous, for whose sake heaven and earth came into being.”
13.
耶穌對他門徒說：「拿我去跟別人比較，告訴我，我像誰？」
西門彼得對他說：「您像一位公義的天使。」
馬太對他說：「您像一位智慧的哲人。」
多馬對他說：「師尊，我的嘴完全無法說出您像誰。」
耶穌說：「我不再是你的師尊，因為你己經醉了，你因為我刻意發出的活水泉源而醉了。」
然後他帶著他，退避起來，對他說了三件事。當多馬回到同伴中，他們問他：「耶穌對你說了什麼？」
多馬對他們說：「如果我告訴你們他說的其中一件事，你們會拿石頭砸我，火將從石頭燃起，燒掉你們。」
Jesus said to His disciples, “Compare me to someone and tell me whom I am like.”
Simon Peter said to Him, “You are like a righteous angel.”
Matthew said to Him, ”You are like a wise philosopher.”
Thomas said to Him, ” Master, my mouth is wholly incapable of saying whom You are like.”
Jesus said, “I am not your master. Because you have drunk, you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring which I have measured out.”
And He took him and withdrew and told him three things. When Thomas returned to his companions, they asked him, “What did Jesus say to you.”
Thomas said to them, “If I tell you one of the things which he told me, you will pick up stones and throw them at me; a fire will come out of the stones and burn you up.”

耶穌對他們說：「如果你們禁食，你們將為自己帶來罪過；如果你們祈禱，你們將受譴責；而如果你們施捨行善，你們將傷害你們的靈。當你們到任何一個地方去，在那裡遊訪，如果他們接納了你們，吃他們放在你們面前的東西，醫治他們中間的病人。因為那些進入你們口中的，並不會褻瀆你們，只有那些從你們口裡說出來的，才會褻瀆你們。」
Jesus said to them, “If you fast, you will give rise to sin for yourselves; and if you pray, you will be condemned; and if you give alms, you will do harm to your spirits. When you go into any land and walk about in the districts, if they receive you, eat what they will set before you, and heal the sick among them. For what goes into your mouth will not defile you, but that which issues from your mouth – it is that will defile you.”

耶穌說：「當你們看到那個不是女人生出來的，你們要俯伏敬拜他。那是你們的父親。」
Jesus said, “When you see one who was not born of woman, prostrate yourselves on your face and worship him. That one is your Father.”
16.
耶穌說：「人們或許認為我來是為了把和平帶給世界。他們不知道我帶到地上的是紛爭─火、刀劍和戰爭。因為那屋裡將有五個，三個將對抗二個，二個將對抗三個，父親對抗兒子，兒子對抗父親，然後他們將站在孤寂之中。」
Jesus said, “Men think, perhaps, that it is peace which I have come to cast upon the world. They do not know that it is dissension which I have come to cast upon the earth: fire, sword, and war. For there will be five in a house: three will be against two, and two against three, the father against the son, and the son against the father. And they will stand solitary.”
17.
耶穌說：「我將給你們眼睛從來沒有見過的，耳朵從來沒有聽過的，手從來沒有觸摸過的，以及人的頭腦從來沒有出現過的。」
Jesus said, “I shall give you what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has never occurred to the human mind.”
18.
門徒問耶穌：「告訴我們，我們的結局會是什麼？」
耶穌說：「難道你們已經發現了起初，所以你們在找結局？起初在哪裡，那裡就是結局。安身於起初的人是受祝福的；他將知道結局，而且不會經歷死亡。」
The disciples said to Jesus, “Tell us how our end will be.”
Jesus said, “Have you discovered, then, the beginning, that you look for the end? For where the beginning is, there will the end be. Blessed is he who will take his place in the beginning; he will know the end and will not experience death.”
19.
耶穌說：「在他存在之前就已經存在的人，是受祝福的。如果你們成為我的門徒，並聽從我的話語，這些石頭將賦予你們。因為樂園裡有五棵夏天和冬天都不會受損的樹，它們的葉子不會掉落。凡是去熟識它們的人，將不會經歷死亡。」
Jesus said, “Blessed is he who came into being before he came into being. If you become my disciples and listen to my words, these stones will minister to you. For there are five trees for you in Paradise which remain undisturbed summer and winter and whose leaves do not fall. Whoever becomes acquainted with them will not experience death.”
20.
門徒問耶穌：「告訴我們天國像什麼。」
他對他們說：「它像一粒芥菜種子，是所有種子之中最小的，但當它落在已經耕好的泥土上，它會長成高大的植物，成為天空鳥雀的棲所。」
The disciples said to Jesus, “Tell us what the Kingdom of Heaven is like.”
He said to them, “It is like a mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds. But when it falls on tilled soil, it produces a great plant and becomes a shelter for birds of the sky.”
21.
馬利亞對耶穌說：「您的門徒像誰？」
他說：「他們像兒童生活在一片不屬於他們的土地上。當地主們來的時候，他們會說，『把我們的地還給我們。』他們(將)在他們面前把衣服脫掉，準備讓他們拿回他們的土地，然後他們把地還給他們。所以我告訴你們，如果房屋主人知道有賊要來，他會在賊來之前開始守夜，不讓賊進到屬於他的屋子，拿走他的東西。至於你們，要警覺起來防衛這個世界。以強大能力裝備你們自己，免得盜賊找到辦法對付你們，因為你們預期的困難(必然)會出現。讓你們中間會有一個懂得的人。當莊稼成熟時，他會很快拿著鎌刀來收割。凡是有耳朵能聽的人，就讓他聽著。」
Mary said to Jesus, “Whom are Your disciples like?”
He said, “They are like children who have settled in a field which is not theirs. When the owners of the field come, they will say, ‘Let us have back our field.’ They (will) undress in their presence in order to let them have back their field and give it back to them. Therefore I say to you, if the owner of a house knows that the thief is coming, he will begin his vigil before he comes and will not let him into his house of his domain to carry away his goods. You, then, be on guard against the world. Arm yourselves with great strength lest the robbers find a way to come to you, for the difficulty you expect will (surely) materialize. Let there be among you a man of understanding. When the grain ripened, he came quickly with his sickle in his hand and reaped it. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.”
22.
耶穌看到一些嬰兒在吃奶，他對他的門徒說：「這些吃奶的嬰兒像那些進入天國的人。」
他們對他說：「那麼我們是不是能像嬰兒那樣進入天國呢？」
耶穌對他們說：「當你們能讓二成為一，當你們能讓內像外、外像內，而上像下、下像上，並且當你們讓男和女合一而相同，以致男不是男、女也不是女；當你們讓眼睛放在眼睛之處，腳放在腳之處，形象放在形象之處，你們將可進入(天國)。」
Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to His disciples, “These infants being suckled are like those who enter the Kingdom.”
They said to Him, “Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?”
Jesus said to them, “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make male and female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female female; and when you fashion eyes in place of an eye, and a hand in place a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter (the Kingdom).”
23.
耶穌說：「我將揀選你們，千中選一，萬中選二，而他們將併立為一體。」
Jesus said, “I shall choose you, one out of a thousand, and two out of ten thousand, and they shall stand as a single one.”
24.
他的門徒對他說：「把您所在的地方顯示給我們看，因為這是我們在尋找它時必須知道的。」
耶穌對他們說：「凡是有耳朵的，就讓他聽著。光明的人裏面有光，他(或它)照亮整個世界。如果他(或它)不發亮光，他(或它)就是黑暗。」
His disciples said to Him, “Show us the place where you are, since it is necessary for us to seek it.”
He said to them: “Whoever has ears, let him hear. There is light within a man of light, and he (or it) lights up the whole world. If he (or it) it does not shine, he(or it) is darkness.”
25.
耶穌說：「愛你的弟兄如同你的魂，守護他如同你眼中的瞳仁。」
Jesus said, “Love your brother like your soul; guard him like the pupil of your eye.”
26.
耶穌說：「你看見你弟兄眼中的塵埃，卻看不見你自己眼中的樑木。當你拋出自己眼中的樑木時，然後你清楚看到塵埃從你弟兄眼中拋出。」
Jesus said, “You see the mote in your brother’s eye, but you do not see the beam in your own eye. When you cast the beam out of your own eye, then you will see clearly to cast the mote from your brother’s eye.”
27.
〈耶穌說：〉「如果你們不是針對世俗禁食，你們將找不到天國，如果你們不是按照安息日來守安息日，你們將見不到父親。」
〈Jesus said,〉“If you do not fast as regards the world, you will not find the Kingdom. If you do not observe the Sabbath as a Sabbath, you will not see the Father.”
28.
耶穌說：「我置身於世界之中，以肉身向他們顯現。我發覺他們全都醉酒，我找不到他們之中有渴求的人。我的魂為人類子孫而受折磨，因為他們的心瞎了，看不見，他們空空地來到世界，然後空空地找死而離開世界。但是這一刻他們是酒醉的。當他們酒醒時，他們將懺悔。」
Jesus said, “I took my place in the midst of the world, and I appeared to them in flesh. I found all of them intoxicated; I found none of them thirsty. And my soul became afflicted for the sons of men, because they are blind in their hearts and do not have sight, for empty they came into the world, and empty too they seek to leave the world. But for the moment they are intoxicated. When they shake off their wine, then they will repent.”
29.
耶穌說：「如果肉體為靈而存在，那是一個奇蹟。但如果靈為肉體而存在，那是奇蹟中的奇蹟。的確，讓我讚歎的是，如此偉大的資源怎麼會以如此的貧窮為家。」
Jesus said, “If the flesh came into being because of spirit, it is a wonder. But if spirit came into being because of the body, it is a wonder of wonders. Indeed, I am amazed at how this great wealth has made its home in this poverty.”
30.
耶穌說：「有三個神的地方，他們是諸神。有兩個或一個的地方，我會與他同在。」
Jesus said, “Where there are three gods, they are gods. Where there are two or one, I am with him.”
31.
耶穌說：「沒有先知能在自己的家鄉被人悅納，沒有醫師能治好那些認識他的人。」
Jesus said, “No prophet is accepted in his own village; no physician heals those who know him.”
32.
耶穌說：「建立在高山並被強化的城，不會倒塌，也不會隱蔽不見。」
Jesus said, “A city being built on a high mountain and fortified cannot fall, nor can it be hidden.”
33.
耶穌說：「從你們的屋頂宣揚那些你們身朵將聽到的，{(以及聽進的另外一隻耳朵}。因為沒有人點了燈之後卻不讓它露出光芒，也沒有人把它放在隱處，他會把它放在燈檯上，使所有進出的人都能看到它的光。)
Jesus said, “Preach from your housetops that which you will hear in your ear, {(and) in the other ear. For no one lights a lamp and puts it under a bushel, nor does one put it in a hidden place, but rather he sets it on a lampstand so that everyone who enters and leaves will see its light.”
34.
耶穌說：「如果一個瞎眼的人領著另一個瞎眼的人，兩個人都將掉進坑裡。」
Jesus said, “If a blind man leads a blind man, they will both fall into a pit.”
35.
耶穌說：「沒有人可能進入一個強者的家，強行佔據，除非他能先把他的手綁起來；然後他才(可以)洗劫他的屋子。」
Jesus said, “It is not possible for anyone to enter the house of a strong man and take it by force unless he binds his hands; then he will (be able to) ransack his house.”
36.
耶穌說：「不要從早到晚、從晚到早擔心你將穿些什麼。」
Jesus said, “Do not be concerned from morning until evening and from evening until morning about what you will wear.”
37.
他的門徒說：「您什麼時候向我們顯現，我們又在什麼時候可以看到您？」
耶穌說：「當你脫去衣服而不覺羞恥，像小孩子那樣，拿起衣服，然後踩在腳下，那麼(你們將看到)那永生者的兒子，你們也不再恐懼。」
38.
耶穌說：「我現在跟你們說的話，是你們曾經多次渴望要聽的，而你們無法從任何人那裡聽到。將來會有那一天，你們要尋找我，卻找不到我。」
Jesus said, “Many times have you desire to hear these words which I am saying to you, and you have no one else to hear them from. There will be days when you will look for me and will not find me.
39.
耶穌說：「法利賽人和經學家拿了知識的鎖匙，卻藏起它們。他們自己沒進去，也不准許那些想進去的人進去。而你們，卻要聰明如蛇，並且單純如鴿子。」
Jesus said, “The Pharisees and scribes have taken the keys of Knowledge and hidden them. They themselves have not entered, nor have they allowed to enter those who wish to. You, however, be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves.”
40.
耶穌說：「有一棵葡萄樹，種植在父親的外面，卻沒有長好，它將被連根拔起，然後毀掉。」
Jesus said, “A grapevine has been planted outside of the Father, but been unsound, it will be pulled up by its roots and destroyed.”
41.
耶穌說：「凡是手裡有那東西的人，還會接受到更多。凡是沒有的人，即使是他擁有的那一點點，都會被拿掉。」
Jesus said, “Whoever has something in his hand will receive more, and whoever has nothing will be deprived of even the little he has.”
42.
耶穌說：「要成為過客。」
Jesus said: ‘Become passers-by.”
43.
他的門徒對他說：「您是誰，能對我們說這些事？」
〈耶穌對他們說：〉「從我對你們所說的那些話，你們認不出我是誰，反而成了像是猶太人，因為他們(不是)愛那棵樹卻恨它的果子，(就是)愛那果子卻恨那棵樹。」
His disciples said to him: “Who are You, that You should say these things to us?”
〈Jesus said to them,〉“You do not realize who I am from what I say to you, but you have become like the Jews, for they (either) love the tree and hate its fruit, or love the fruit but hate the tree.”
44.
耶穌說：「褻瀆父親的人將被饒恕，褻瀆人子的人也將被饒恕。但褻瀆聖靈的人卻不被饒恕，無論是在世上或在天堂。”
Jesus said, “Whoever blasphemes against the Father will be forgiven, and whoever blasphemes against the Son will be forgiven. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven either on earth or in heaven.”
45.
耶穌說：” 葡萄不能從荊棘收成，無花果也不能從蒺藜採到，因為它們結不出果子。善人從他庫房取出良善，惡人則從他邪惡的庫房，也就是從他心裡，帶出邪惡的事，並口出惡言。因為從他塞得滿滿的心，他帶出邪惡的事。」
Jesus said, “Grapes are not harvested from thorns, nor are figs gathered from thistles, for they do not produce fruit. A good man brings forth good from his storehouse; an evil man brings forth evil things from his evil storehouse, which is in his heart, and says evil thing. For out of the abundance of his heart he brings forth evil things.”
46.
耶穌說：「在婦人所生的人之中，從亞當到施洗約翰，沒有人高過施洗約翰，他的眼睛不應低過(在他之前的人)。然而我曾經說過，你們中間任何一個人，只要成為小孩，就知道天國，並且高過約翰。」
Jesus said, “Among those born of women, from Adam until John the Baptist, there is no one so superior to John the Baptist that his eyes should not be lowered (before him). Yet I have said, whichever one of you comes to be a child will be acquainted with the Kingdom and will become superior to John. “
47.
耶穌說：「人不可能同時騎兩匹馬或拉兩張弓。僕人也不可能侍候兩個主人，否則，他會尊敬一個而輕蔑另一個。沒有人喝了陳酒後會立刻想喝新酒。新酒不能裝進舊酒囊，否則它們會綻裂；陳酒也不能裝進新酒囊，否則它可能走味。舊補丁不能縫在新衣上，因為會引起裂縫。」
Jesus said: “It is impossible to mount two horses or to stretch two bows. And it is impossible for a servant to serve two masters; otherwise, he will honor the one and treat the other contemptuously. No man drinks old wine, and immediately desires to drink new wine. And new wine is not put into old wineskins, lest they burst; nor is old wine put into a new wineskin, lest it spoil it. An old patch is not sewn onto a new garment, because a tear would result.”
48.
耶穌說：「如果二個人能在這一個房子裡和諧相處，他們對山說『走開』，那座山就會走開。」
Jesus said, “If two make peace with each other in this one house, they will say to the mountain ‘Move away,’ and it will move away.”
49.
耶穌說：「孤寂並應選的人有福了，因為你們將找到天國。因為你們從它那裡來，你們也將回到它那裡去。」
Jesus said, “Blessed are the solitary and elect, for you will find the Kingdom. For you are from it, and to it you will return.”
50.
耶穌說：「如果他們對你們說，『你們從那裡來？』告訴他們，『我們從光而來，在那裡，光依從它的原質而進入存在，然後建立(它自己)，並透過他們的形像顯示出來。』如果他們對你們說，『它就是你們嗎？』回答說，『我們是它的孩子，我們是永生天父所選的。』如果他們問你們，『天父在你們之內的表徵是什麼？』對他們說，『它就是動作和休息。』」
Jesus said, “If they say to you, ‘Where did you come from?’, say to them, ‘We came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord and established [itself] and became manifest through their image’. If they say to you, ‘Is it you?’, say, ‘We are its children, and we are the elect of the Living Father.’ If they ask you, ‘What is the sign of your Father in you?’, say to them ‘It is movement and repose.’”
51.
他的門徒對祂說：「死去的人什麼時候獲得安息？新世界什麼時候到來？」
他對他們說：「你們盼望的已經到來，只是你們不認得它。」
His disciples said to Him, “When will the repose of the dead come about, and when will the new world come?”
He said to them, “What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.”
52.
他的門徒對他說：「以色列有二十四個先知說了話，他們全都在您裡面說。」
他對他們說：「你們忽略活在你們面前的，卻(只是)談論那些死人。」
His disciples said to Him, “Twenty-four prophets spoke in Israel, and all of them spoke in You.”
He said to them, “You have omitted the one living in your presence and have spoken (only) of the dead.”
53.
他的門徒對他說：「行割禮有益嗎？」
他對他們說：「如果它有益，他們的父親在他們母親生下他們時就已經割了。其實，真正的靈性割禮已經完全出現了好處。」
His disciples said to Him, “Is circumcision beneficial or not?”
He said to them, “If it were beneficial, their father would beget them already circumcised from their mother. Rather, the true circumcision in spirit has become completely profitable.”
54.
耶穌說：「清貧的人有福了，因為天國是你們的。」
Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor, for yours is the Kingdom of Heaven.”
55.
耶穌說：「凡是不嫌棄他父親和母親的人，不能成為我的門徒。凡是不嫌棄他兄弟和姊妹、並在我的道路上扛起十字架的人，是不值得我的。」
Jesus said, “Whoever does not hate his father and his mother cannot become a disciple to me. And whoever does not hate his brothers and sisters and take up his cross in my way will not be worthy of me.”
56.
耶穌說：「凡是能夠瞭解這個世界的人，他己經發現(它只是)一具屍體；凡是發現這具屍體的人，他就超越了世界。」
Jesus said, “Whoever has come to understand the world has found (only) a corpse, and whoever has found a corpse is superior to the world.”
57.
耶穌說：「父親的王國像一個擁有(好)種子的人。他的敵人在夜裡到來，把雜草種子撒在好種子之間。這人不准他們拔雜草，他跟他們說，『我怕你們想要拔掉雜草，卻連同麥子都拔了起來。』因為在收成麥子那天，草會凸顯出來，它將會被拔起來燒掉。」
Jesus said, “The Kingdom of the Father is like a man who had (good) seed. His enemy came by night and sowed weeds among the good seed. The man did not allow them to pull up the weeds; he said to them, ‘I am afraid that you will go intending to pull up the weeds and pull up the wheat along with them. ‘ For on the day of the harvest the weeds will be plainly visible, and they will be pulled up and burned.”
58.
耶穌說：「受祝福的是那受苦並找到生命的人。」
Jesus said, “Blessed is the man who has suffered and found life.”
59.
耶穌說：「當你們活著的時候，要留意那個活生生的，免得你們死了才尋找著去見他，卻無法做到了。」
Jesus said, “Take heed of the Living One while you are alive, lest you die and seek to see Him and be unable to do so.”
60.
(他們看到)一個撒瑪利亞人帶著一頭羊往猶太地去，他對他的門徒說：「(為什麼)那個人(帶)著羊走。」
他們對他說：「因為他會殺牠，並且吃掉牠。」
他對他們說：「當牠活的時候，他不會吃牠，但只有在他殺了牠，使牠成為屍體之後才會吃。」
他們說：「他只能這麼做。」
他對他們說：「你們也是一樣，要在靜守之中為你們自己找一個地方，否則你們會成為屍體而被吃掉。」
(They saw) a Smaritan carrying a lamb on his way to Judea. He said to his disciples, “(Why does) that man (carry) the lamb around?.”
They said to him, “So that he may kill it and eat it.”
He said to them, “While it is alive, he will not eat it, but only when he has killed it and it has become a corpse.”
They said to him, “He cannot do so otherwise.”
He said to them, “You too, look for a place for yourselves within the Repose, lest you become a corpse and be eaten.”
61.
耶穌說：「兩個人將在床上休息，一個將會死去，另一個將活著。」
撒羅米說：「您這個人，是誰啊？您，好像是從那唯一者來的，能上到我的長椅坐，能在我的桌上吃？」
耶穌對她說：「我是他，那個未被分裂的存在。我被賦予了一些我父親的東西。」
〈撒羅米說：〉「我是您的門徒。」
〈耶穌對她說：〉「所以我說，如果他〈未被分裂〉，他將會被光充滿；但如果他被分裂，他將被黑暗充滿。」
Jesus said, “Two will rest on a bed; the one will die, and the other will live.”
Salome said, “Who are You, man, that You, as though from the One, have come up on my couch and eaten from my table?”
Jesus said to her, “I am He who exists from the undivided. I was given some of the things of my Father.”
〈Salome said,〉“I am Your disciple.”
〈 Jesus said to her,〉“Therefore I say, if he is 〈undivided〉, he will be filled with light, but if he is divided, he will be filled with darkness.”
62.
耶穌說：「對那些(值得聽到我的)奧秘的人，我才對他們說我的奧秘。不要讓你的左手知道你右手正在做的事。」
Jesus said, “It is to those [who are worthy of my] mysteries that I tell my mysteries. Do not let your left know what your right hand is doing.”
63.
耶穌說：「有一個富人擁有很多錢財。他說：『我要好好利用我的錢，去播種、收割、種植，並讓我的庫房裝滿收成，這樣我就不再需要任何東西。』這是他打算，但他就在那天晚上死去。凡是有耳朵的就該聽著。」
Jesus said, “There was a rich man who had much money. He said, ‘I shall put my money to use so that I may sow, reap, plant, and fill my storehouse with produce, with the result that shall lack nothing.’ Such were his intentions, but that same night he died. Let him who has ears hear.”
64.
耶穌說：「有一個人接待了一些訪客。當他準備好晚餐，他差遣僕人去邀請那些客人。僕人去見第一個客人，對他說，我的主人邀請你。他說，我要向一些商人索債，他們今晚會來見我。我必須去給他們一些指示。請原諒我不能赴宴。
僕人去見另外一個客人，對他說，我的主人邀請你。他對僕人說，我才買了一棟房子，今天己經排定了，我不會有任何空出的時間。
僕人去見另外一個客人，對他說，我的主人邀請你。他對僕人說，我的朋友將結婚，我要去安排宴會。我不能來，請原諒我不能赴宴。
僕人去見另外一個客人，對他說，我的主人邀請你。他對僕人說，我買了一塊農地，正要去收租。我不能來，請原諒我不能赴宴。
僕人回來對他的主人說：你邀請晚餐的那些人都向你告罪。主人對僕人說：到街上找任何一個你遇到的人，讓他們有晚餐吃。生意人和商販(將)不會進入我父親的地方。」
Jesus said, “A man had received visitors. And when he had prepared the dinner, he sent his servant to invite the guests. He went to the first one and said to him, ‘My master invites you.’ He said, ‘I have claims against some merchants. They are coming to me this evening. I must go and give them my order. I ask to be excused from the dinner.’
He went to another and said, ‘My master has invited you.’ He said to him, ‘I have just bought a house and am required for the day. I shall not have any spare time.’
He went to another and said to him, ‘My master invites you,’ He said to him, ’ My friend is going to get married, and I am to prepare the banquet. I shall not be able to come. I ask to be excused from the dinner.’
He went to another and said to him, ‘My master invites you.’ He said to him, ‘I have just bought a farm, and I am on my way to collect the rent. I shall not be able to come. I ask to be excused.’
The servant returned and said to his master, ‘Those whom you invited to the dinner have asked to be excused.’ The master said to his servant, ‘Go outside to the streets and bring back those whom you happen to meet, so that they may dine.’ Businessmen and merchants (will) not enter the places of my Father.”
65.
他說：「有一位善人擁有一處葡萄園。他把它租給一些佃農，讓他們能夠在那裡耕作，他也可以從他們那裡獲得產物。他派了僕人去，期望佃農會給他葡萄園的產物，但他們抓起他的僕人，毆打他，只是沒有殺他。僕人回去報告主人，主人說：『也許是因為〈他們〉不認識他。』他派了另外一個僕人去，而佃農又打他一頓。於是主人派出他的兒子，並且說：『也許他們會尊重我的兒子。』由於佃農知道他是葡萄園的繼承人，他們捉起他，並殺了他。凡是有耳朵的就該聽著。」
He said, “There was a good man who owned a vineyard. He leased it to tenant farmers so that they might work it and he might collect the produce from them. He sent his servant so that the tenants might give him the produce of the vineyard. They seized his servant and beat him, all but killing him. The servant went back and told his master. The master said, ‘Perhaps ‘〈they〉did not recognize 〈him〉.’ He sent another servant. The tenants beat this one as well. Then the owner sent his son and said, ‘Perhaps they will show respect to my son.’ Because the tenants knew that it was he who was the heir to the vineyard, they seized him and killed him. Let him who has ears hear.”
66.
耶穌說：「把建房子的人丟棄的石頭拿來給我。那一個正是房角石。」
Jesus said, “Show me the stone which the builders have rejected. That one is the cornerstone.”
67.
耶穌說：「凡是相信那全能者是不足的人，(他自己)才是完全不足。」
Jesus said, “Whoever believes that the All itself is deficient is (himself) completely deficient.
68.
耶穌說：「受祝福的是當你們被仇視並處死的時候。無論你們在什麼地方被處死，他們將找不到那個地方。」
Jesus said, “Blessed are you when you are hated and persecuted. Wherever you have been persecuted they will find no Place.”
69.
耶穌說：「受祝福的是那些在他們心裡自我處決的人。他們是真正已經知道父親的人。受祝福的是那些饑餓的人，因為他們身體最深處的渴求將被填滿。」
Jesus said, “Blessed are they who have been persecuted within themselves. It is they who have truly come to know the Father. Blessed are the hungry, for the belly of him who desires will be filled.”
70.
耶穌說：「如果你們能把那個在你們裡面的展現出來，你們展現出來的將拯救你們。如果你們沒有把裡面的展現出來，你們沒有展現的將毀掉你們。」
Jesus said, “If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”
71.
耶穌說：「我將[摧毀這]房子，沒有人能重新建它(…)」
Jesus said, “I shall (destroy this) house, and no one will be able to build it (…)”
72.
[有一個人]對他[說]：「去告訴我的兄弟，把我父親的財產分給我。」
他對那人說：「你這個人哪，誰把我變成了一個區分者呢？」
他轉向他的門徒，對他們說：「我可不是一個區分者，是嗎？」
(A man said) to him, ”Tell my brothers to divide my father’s possessions with me.”
He said to him, “O man, who made me a divider?”
He turned to his disciples and said to them: “I am not a divider, am I？”
73.
耶穌說：「莊稼豐足，但工人卻很少。所以求主派出工人去收割。」
Jesus said, “The harvest is great but the laborers are few. So beseech the lord, therefore, to send out laborers to the harvest.”
74.
他說：「主啊，水槽圍了很多人，但蓄水池裡什麼也沒有。」
He said: “O lord, there are many around the drinking trough, but there is nothing in the cistern.”
75.
耶穌說：「很多人站在門前，但只有孤寂者將進入新娘的房間。」
Jesus said, “Many are standing at the door, but it is the solitary who will enter the bridal chamber.”
76.
耶穌說：「父親的國就像一個商人擁有一批寄售的貨品，而他卻發現了一顆珍珠。這個商人是精明的。他賣掉貨品，為他自己單單買下那顆珍珠。你們也要這樣，去尋找他那永不毀壞的寶藏，在那裡，沒有蛀蟲能靠近吃它，也沒有蟲子破壞。」
Jesus said, “The kingdom of the father is like a merchant who had a consignment of merchandise and who discovered a pearl. That merchant was shrewd. He sold the merchandise and bought the pearl alone for himself. You, too, seek his unfailing and enduring treasure where no moth comes near to devour and no worm destroys.”
77.
耶穌說：「我是超越一切的光。我就是一切。過去的一切從我而生，過去的一切也向我展現。劈開一片木頭，我在那裡。拿起一塊石頭，你將發現我在那裡。」
Jesus said, “It is I who am the light which is above them all. It is I who am the all. From me did the all come forth, and unto me did the all extend. Split a piece of wood, and I am there. Lift up the stone, and you will find me there.”
78.
耶穌說：「你們為什麼要走進沙漠？去看被風吹動的蘆葦嗎？去看身穿華服(活像是你們的)國王和大人物嗎？他們身上穿的是[華服]，而他們卻不能辨別真理。」
Jesus said, “Why have you come out into the desert? To see a reed shaken by the wind? And to see a man clothed in fine garments (like your) kings and your great men? Upon them are the fine garments, and they are unable to discern the truth.”
79.
從群眾走出的一位婦人對他說：「受祝福的是那生您的胎腹和餵您的乳房。」
他對她說：「受祝福的是那些聽從和信守父親話語的人。因為那些日子將會來到，那時你們會說：『受祝福的是沒有受過孕的胎腹和沒有餵過奶的乳房。』
A woman from the crowd said to him, “Blessed are the womb which bore you and the breasts which nourished you.”
He said to (her), “Bless are those who have heard the word of the father and have truly kept it. For there will be days when you will say, ‘Blessed are the womb which has not conceived and the breasts which have not given milk.’”
80.
耶穌說：“認識這個世界的人，已經發現了身體；但已經發現了身體的人，是優於這個世界的。”
Jesus said, “He who recognized the world has found the body, but he who has found the body is superior to the world.”
81.
耶穌說：「讓致富的人成為國王，讓得權的人捨棄權力。」
Jesus said, “Let him who has grown rich be king, and let him who possesses power renounce it.”
82.
耶穌說：「接近我的人就是接近了火，離我遠的人離天國也遠。」
Jesus said, “He who is near me is near the fire, and he who is far from me is far from the kingdom.”
83.
耶穌說：「諸般形象是人可以看見的，但他們裡面的光卻隱藏在天父的光亮形象裡。他將顯現出來，但他的形象卻隱藏在他的光裡。」
Jesus said, “The images are manifest to man, but the light in them remains concealed in the image of the light of the father. He will become manifest, but his image will remain concealed by his light.”
84.
耶穌說：「當你們看到你們的樣子，你們很高興。但當你們看到你們的形象在你們出生之前就已經存在，既沒有死過，也無法被看到，你們對這事能承當到什麼程度！」
Jesus said, “When you see your likeness, you are rejoice. But when you see your images which came into being before you, and which neither die nor become manifest, how much you will have to bear!”
85.
耶穌說：「亞當的誕生是來自一個強大的力量和一個強大的資源，但他卻值不上你們。因為他如果值得上，[他就]不會[經歷]死亡。」
Jesus said, “Adam came into being from a great power and a great wealth, but he did not become worthy of you. For had he been worthy, (he would) not (have experienced) death.”
86.
耶穌說：「[狐狸有牠們的穴]，鳥雀有[牠們]的巢，但人子卻沒有安頓他的頭和休息的地方。」
Jesus said, “(The foxes have their holes) and the birds have their nests, but the son of man has no place to lay his head and rest.”
87.
耶穌說：「可憐的是一個身體依賴著另一個身體，可憐的是那個魂依賴著那兩個身體。」
Jesus said, “Wretched is the body that is dependent upon a body, and wretched is the soul that is dependent on these two.”
88.
耶穌說：「天使和先知將會找你們，給你們那些你們(已經)擁有的東西。而你們也是這樣，給他們那些你們擁有的東西，並且跟自己說：『他們什麼時候會來，拿走那屬於他們的東西呢？』」
Jesus said, “The angels and the prophets will come to you and give to you those things you (already) have. And you too, give them those things which you have, and say to yourselves, ‘When will they come and take what is theirs?’”
89.
耶穌說：「你為什麼洗杯子的表面呢？你難道不曉得，那個創造裡面的，正是那個創造表面的。」
Jesus said, “Why do you wash the outside of the cup? Do you not realize that he who made the inside is the same one who made the outside?”
90.
耶穌說：「到我這裡來，因為我的軛是輕鬆的，我的威權是柔和的，你們將為自己找到安歇。」
Jesus said, “Come unto me, for my yoke is easy and my lordship is mild, and you will find repose for yourselves.”
91.
他們對他說：「告訴我們您是誰，好讓我們相信您。」
耶穌說：「你們辨認天和地的表面，但你們卻不認得在你們面前的是誰，你也不知道怎麼辨認當下的這一刻。」
They said to him, “Tell us who You are so that we may believe in You.”
He said to them, “You read the face of the sky and of the earth, but you have not recognized the one who is before you, and you do not know how to read this moment.”
92.
耶穌說：「只要尋找，你就會找到。然而，你們以前問我的事，我那時候沒有告訴你們，現在我確實想要說出來，而你們又不去探討它。」
Jesus said, “Seek and you will find. Yet, what you asked me about in former times and which did not tell you then, now I do desire to tell, but you do not enquire after it.”
93.
〈耶穌說：〉 「不要把神聖的東西給狗，免得被牠們扔到糞堆上。不要把珍珠扔給豬，免得牠們把它碾[碎]。」
〈Jesus said,〉“Do not give what is holy to dogs, lest they throw them on the dung-heap. Do not throw pearls to swine, lest they grind it [to bits].”
94.
耶穌(說)：「尋找的將會找到，敲門的將會被引進。」
Jesus [said], “He who seeks will find, and [he who knocks] will be let in.”
95.
[耶穌說：]「如果你有錢，不要放貸生息，而是把[它]送給不會還錢給你的人。」
[Jesus said,] “If you have money, do not lend it at interest, but give [it] to one from whom you will not get it back.”
96.
耶穌[說]：「父親的國像一個婦人。她把一點點酵粉(暗藏)在麵團裡，做出了一些大麵包。凡是有耳朵的，就該聽著。」
Jesus [said], “The Kingdom of the Father is like a certain woman. She took a little leaven, (concealed) it in some dough, and made it into large loaves. Let him who has ears hear.
97.
耶穌說：「[父親]的國像一個婦人帶著裝滿糧食的罐子。當她走在路(上)，離家還遠，罐柄破了，糧食落在身後的路上。她沒有發現它，沒有察覺發生了意外。當她到家的時候，她放下罐子，才發現它空了。」
Jesus said, “The Kingdom of the [Father] is like a certain woman who was carrying a jar full of meal. While she was walking (on) a road, still some distance from home, the handle of the jar broke and the meal emptied out behind her on the road. She did not realize it; she had noticed no accident. When she reached her house, she set the jar down and found it empty.”
98.
耶穌說：「父親的國像一個人，想要殺死一個強而有力的人。在他自己家裡，他拔劍刺牆，為的是要確定他的手是不是能夠勝任。然後，他就殺了那個強而有力的人。」
Jesus said, “The Kingdom of Father is like a certain man who wanted to kill a powerful man. In his own house he drew his sword and stuck it into the wall in order to find out whether his hand could carry through. Then he slew the powerful man.”
99.
門徒對他說：「您的兄弟和您的母親正站在門外。」
他對他們說：「在這裡實行我父旨意的人，就是我的兄弟和我的母親。他們將是進入我父之國的人。」
The disciples said to Him, “Your brothers and Your mother are standing outside.”
He said to them, “Those here who do the will of my Father are my brothers and my mother. It is they who will enter the Kingdom of my Father.”
100.
他們給耶穌看一個金幣，跟他說：「凱撒的人要求我們繳稅。」
他對他們說：「屬於凱撒的就歸給凱撒，屬於神的就歸給神，並且，給我那屬於我的。」
They showed Jesus a gold coin and said to him, “Caesar’s men demand taxes from us.”
He said to them, “Give Caesar what belongs to Caesar, give God what belong to God, and give me what is mine.”
100.
他們讓耶穌看一個金幣，跟他說：「凱撒的人要求我們繳稅。」
他對他們說：「屬於凱撒的就歸給凱撒，屬於神的就歸給神，並且，給我那屬於我的。」
They showed Jesus a gold coin and said to him, “Caesar’s men demand taxes from us.”
He said to them, “Give Caesar what belongs to Caesar, give God what belong to God, and give me what is mine.”
101.
〈耶穌說:〉「不能像我那樣嫌棄他父親和母親的人，不能成為我的門徒。[不]能像我那樣愛他[父親和]母親的人，也不能成為我的[門徒]。因為我母親給我(幻象)，但(我)真正的(母親)給我生命。」
〈Jesus said,〉“Whoever does not hate his father and his mother as I do cannot become a disciple to me. And whoever does [not] love his [father and] his mother as I do cannot become a [disciple] to me. For my mother [gave me falsehood), but [my] true [mother] gave me life.”
102.
耶穌說：「法利賽人有禍了，因為他們像睡在牛槽中的狗，牠不吃，也不讓牛吃。」 Jesus said, “Woe to the Pharisees, for they are like a dog sleeping the manger of oxen, for neither does he eat nor does he let the oxen eat. ”
103.
耶穌說：「知道強盜什麼時候會闖入的人有福了，所以他可以振作起來，防備他的產業，在強盜闖入之前武裝自己。」
Jesus said, “Fortunate is the man who knows where the brigands will enter, so that he may get up, muster his domain, and arm himself before they invade.”
104.
他們[對耶穌]說：「來，今天讓我們祈禱，讓我們禁食。」
耶穌說：「我犯了什麼罪？或者我哪裡失敗了？當新郎離開新娘的房間時，讓他們禁食和祈禱吧。」
They said [to Jesus], “Come, let us pray today and let us fast.”
Jesus said, “What is the sin I have committed, or wherein have I been defeated? But when bridegroom leaves the bridal chamber, then let them fast and pray.”
105.
耶穌說：「凡知道父親和母親的人，將被稱為邪靈妓女之子。」
Jesus said, “He who knows the father and the mother will be called the son of a harlot.”
106.
耶穌說：「當你使二成為一，你將成為人子，那時當你說，『山，走開』，它將走開。」
Jesus said, “When you make the two one, you will become the sons of man, and when you say, ‘Mountain, move away’, it will move away.”
107.
耶穌說：「天國像一個擁有一百隻羊的牧人。其中一隻最大的羊走丟了。他離開九十九隻，直到他找到那隻羊。在他這麼費事之後，他對那隻羊說：『我關心你超過關心那九十九隻。』」
Jesus said, “The Kingdom is like a shepherd who had a hundred sheep. One of them, the largest, went astray. He left the ninety-nine and looked for that one until he found it. When he had gone to such trouble, he said to the sheep, ‘I care about you more than the ninety-nine.’”
108.
耶穌說：「那從我嘴裡喝水的人將會像我。我自己將成為他，並且，那隱藏起來的東西將會向他顯現出來。」
Jesus said, “He who will drink from my mouth will become like me. I myself will become him, and the things that are hidden will be revealed to him.”
109.
耶穌說：「天國像是一個人，在他田地裡[藏著]寶物卻不知道。在他去世[之後]，他把地留給他的兒子。兒子不知道(那裡有寶物)。他繼承了田地，然後賣掉[它]。買的人跑去耕地，發現了寶物，他開始放貸生息給他中意的人。」
Jesus said:, “The Kingdom is like a man who had a [hidden] treasure in his field without knowing it. And [after] he died, he left it to his son. The son did not know (about the treasure). He inherited the field and sold [it]. And the one who bought it went plowing and found the treasure. He began to lend money at interest to whomever he wished.”
110.
耶穌說：「凡是找到世界而致富的人，應該放棄這個世界。」
Jesus said, “Whoever finds the world and becomes rich, let him renounce the world.”
111.
耶穌說：“天和地將在你面前翻滾，凡是與那永生者活在一起的人，將看不到死亡。”
耶穌不是說過：“知道自己的人，就超越了這個世界。”
Jesus said, “The heavens and the earth will roll up in your presence. And the one who lives from the Living One will not see death.”
Does not Jesus say, “Whoever find himself is superior to the world.”
112.
耶穌說：「依靠魂的肉體有禍了，依靠肉體的魂有禍了。」
Jesus said, “Woe to the flesh which depends upon the soul; woe to the soul which depends upon the flesh.”
113.
他的門徒問他：「天國什麼時候來到？」
〈耶穌說：〉「它不是能被人等到的。它不是隨口說的『它在這裡』，或『它在那裡』。其實，父親的王國遍佈在地上，人卻看不到它。」
His disciples said to him, “When will the kingdom come?”
〈Jesus said,〉 “It will not come by waiting for it. It will not be a matter of saying, ‘Here it is’ or ‘There it is’. Rather, the Kingdom of the Father is spread out upon the earth, and men do not see it.”
114.
西門彼得對他們說：「讓馬利亞離開我們，因為女人不配獲得生命。」
耶穌說：「我將親自引導她，讓她成為男人，使她能夠像你們男人一樣，成為一個永生的靈。每一個讓自己成為男人的女人，都將進入天國。」
Simon Peter said to Him, “Let Mary leave us, for women are not worthy of Life.”
Jesus said, “I myself shall lead her in order to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every woman who will make herself male will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”
